Healthy is the new Goal 4

Hey everyone, it’s Jenn from Heart of Wellness and today I’m going to finish our series on “healthy is the new goal.” So we talked about habit stacking and one of the best habits you can have is moving your body daily. So let’s talk about moving your body with Grace. Now notice that I am not saying gracefully! Because it really does not matter how you move your body as long as you move your body daily. You do not have to have some crazy exercise plan.  You do not have to run out and buy a bunch of weight that are too heavy for you or that someone told you you should have. Moving your body with Grace means moving your body respectfully to you. Now for some of you that may be a yoga practice. When I first started yoga I was miserable! I was terrible at it and I could not stand any of the poses. I could not breathe through them and I did not feel like I was making a positive change to my body. I actually felt like a failure. So I talked about this with my coach and she told me you feel like a failure because you are following someone else’s practice. You need to make your yoga your yoga practice. If you feel good in a position and the instructor has moved on, stay there! Make the practice your practice. And that changed the way I looked and felt about yoga. Now I am someone that likes accountability and I like to be in a group setting. So I joined a Facebook group run by Kobe fitness. This group helps me to stay on track daily. Lisa is wonderful and shows us different versions of her exercises. She makes sure that you are working at your level not hers. This group gives me the accountability I need to work my body daily in a fun setting where we interact with each other. It helps me too get my weight lifting and my cardio in each day. I have made this a habit by pushing play as soon as I get out of bed. I would love to help you find your way into a daily exercise routine. It can be walking it can be weightlifting it can be yoga or it can be a ton of other activities. You need to make sure you enjoy this activity or you will not stay with it. Moving your body with grace should bring you joy and not make you feel like you are doing a chore. If you would like to discuss more about moving your body with Grace please send me an email at jennifer@heartofwellnesscoaching.com I would be happy to discuss a routine that would make you happy and help you to move your body with grace daily. So go confidently in the direction of your dreams and live the life you’ve always imagined! Love to you all!
